THE BIRTH OF APOSTOLIC LIGHTHOUSE CHURCH

“It was the winter of 2007 and we were almost at the end of December when I felt God leading us to start a church in the city of Winnipeg. Just three months before, I (Pastor Dennie) had made up my mind to head to Ottawa Ontario to help a good friend with his Home Missions church but God had other plans.”

Sunday March 9th 2008 we opened our first service in a church building at 6 Dunraven Ave, in Winnipeg. We had approximately 15 people in total who were like minded in developing a strong church. Over the years we have seen the hand of God worked with what little we had and as the old song says “Little is much when God is in it,” we proved God time and time again and He came through for us. The power of God moved mightily in many services that we had throughout each Sunday service. There were people who were healed and others who received the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues, many others were baptized in the glorious name of Jesus Christ! What a thrill it was to see souls reaching out to God and being blessed by His Spirit. Apostolic Lighthouse Church is still growing! For the past 5 years we have influenced the lives of hundreds of people who have sat in the pews of our church. We continue to have outreach by way of our annual church picnic during the summer time, door knocking, teaching Home Bible studies, and our yearly Christmas program, reaching out to as many people as possible from every background and ethnicity. We believe that the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is diverse and we are called to reach the masses for Him!
